Pretend Play
We found the dvd to be an extremely useful and powerful resource when used in our 'Every Child a Talker' training programme recently. The clips helped to demonstrate for Practitioners working with young children, the developmental stages of pretend play and how they might support and enhance this in order to encourage children's social and communication skills. We were able, through watching the various clips, to explore the possibility that children are able to discover a real sense of themselves and of others as their imaginative play evolves and matures.
