About Siren Films

Siren Films is dedicated to making films aimed at helping children be able to lead happy lives where they can reach their full potential.

We try hard to film events in children's lives from their viewpoint and won't stint on time - however long it takes.  Our ambition is to present this material in a way that is revealing and inspiring  making films that are fascinating to watch: in fact just what children are - inspiring and fascinating. Distilling aspects of their lives into an absorbing film is a challenge we relish. We do our best to insure that we've done all the necessary research on up to date theory and thinking so that we can weave in an informative commentary.  We work with specialists on each project ensuring that we are covering all the important points and often the specialists write the notes that accompany the films. The results, we hope, are films that can be used in training by all those adults who dedicate their lives to  helping bring up and educate young children.

Dr Wendy McEvoy has been doing research for over 40 years and started filming, making an acclaimed film "Woodbine Place" about children's social lives, for C4, 25 years ago.

Katrina McEvoy is Wendy's daughter and they have been working together for the last 7 years.
