About Siren Films

Siren has been making films for many years and has always been based in the North East of England. Wendy McEvoy joined Siren about 20 years ago (or so). She brought with her an expertise in film making and a driven interest in how children grow up. She had already made the acclaimed film "Woodbine Place" for Channel 4 T.V. which examined the lives of the children living in a Gateshead street and was also involved with other child development projects.

Siren now concentrates exclusively on films about child development and has an extensive portfolio of impressive and innovatory film which generate very satisfying reviews.

In recent years Wendy has been joined by her daughter Katrina, who, as well as having excellent technical skills, has a freshness and exuberance that help make Siren a happy and industrious place.
