Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 3rd January 2026

Siren Films Ltd is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of disability, capability, or technology.

Standards we aim to follow

We aim to make sirenfilms.co.uk accessible and usable in line with recognised good practice, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. We have not yet completed a full independent accessibility audit across all areas of the site and video library.

Accessibility features

Keyboard and navigation

  • Logical and consistent navigation for keyboard users.
  • Visible focus states on interactive elements (for example, links).
  • Site logo links directly to the home page.

Many video pages and account features are accessed via standard links and buttons.

Visual adjustments

  • You can use your browser or device settings to change text size and zoom.
  • Content is designed to reflow at increased zoom levels (up to 200%) without requiring horizontal scrolling for typical page layouts.

Content and structure

  • Many videos in our library have captions and transcripts.
  • Pages use headings and consistent layouts to support comprehension.
  • We aim to provide meaningful alternative text for images where appropriate.
  • We aim to minimise the use of PDFs for key information and keep essential information in HTML pages.

Browser and device compatibility

The site is designed to work on modern desktop and mobile devices and is intended to be compatible with current versions of:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari on iOS
  • Chrome on Android and iOS

Technology used

This website primarily relies on HTML and CSS. JavaScript is used to enhance functionality (for example, interactive elements and third-party embeds), but core content and navigation are intended to remain usable without JavaScript where practical.

Third-party services and embedded content

Some parts of the site include third-party components, which may have their own accessibility characteristics, including:

  • Embedded video playback (for example, Vimeo player experiences within the video library).
  • Support/help widget accessed from the site interface.

Known limitations and roadmap

We know that some parts of the website and video library may not be fully accessible. We are actively working to improve this, including (but not limited to):

  • Some videos may not have captions.
  • Some videos may not have transcripts.
  • We have not yet completed comprehensive testing with screen readers across all templates and logged-in areas.

We prioritise improvements that affect core journeys (finding content, watching videos, using courses, and managing an account).
