We were awarded **** stars in the CPD section from the Teach Early Years Awards, just being pipped to the post by Mine Conkbaiyr, but beating off some of the big names in the industry.
The judges commented:
“Sometimes we all need a break from reading. These video clips are well put-together and are just the right length to enjoy with a cuppa on an evening or even during your break at work (if you’re lucky enough to get one). There are 319 titles that you can buy through an individual, team or educational subscription packages. Before watching each video, you’re given things to look out for, and when you’re finished it’s suggests things for you to reflect on, e.g. the role of the adult in the clip, or the areas of learning and development covered.”
Our library is all about making training easier. We know that everyone who works in the EY sector are utterly pushed for time so we selected and produced short clips that can be used by themselves or as part of a playlist/ bespoke training course.
Winning a Silver Nursery World Award made us rather happy, we were up against a number of really well known, international companies so we were really excited when we heard that we’d won silver in the staff resources category. The judges said:
“This is an excellent resource for staff, these video clips are of greater interest to staff than reading. The clips are short and specific which means that you can tailor training sessions around a series of clips.”
“It’s a great tool to use with new members of staff, those new to the industry and also as a refresher.”
Overall the settings that tested the Clip Library said it was a ‘very valuable resource’ which is exactly what we hoped users would say.
And hopefully we can make it three in a row after finding out we’ve made it to the finals of the Nursery Management Today Awards. Fingers crossed!
