Examples of videos from our library
There are two types of videos; informative videos and observation videos. Informative videos have a voice over explaining what is happening and providing information about specific theories. Observation videos have no voice over and can be used to practice observation techniques, learn about child development, play and to see how children learn. Adults' skills can also be observed.

How can I personalise my training? +

You can search by area of child development, specific theories, areas of play, learning strategies, age or setting and find just what you need to enhance your training and make learning stick.

You can create unlimited playlists. These can be accessed by your team (if you have a multiple access account). For example you can create an induction package that can be watched by new members of staff.
How can video develop confident practitioners? +
The video clips encourage practitioners to reflect on their own practice and are great for generating discussion and thought. With this kind of regular insight your team will be able to support children with a real understanding and confidence about the provision they offer.
Observation involves stepping back and listening as well as watching. The film process allows us to do this in a very special way. Being able to watch sequences repeatedly enables adults to tune into just what it is children want to know about or need support with.

How do I use each video? +
The additional information, prompts and reflection questions provide support and guidance for planning training sessions. There are ideas of what to notice while watching. After watching there are prompts for reflection and then planning what to to put into action.
How do the courses differ from individual videos? +
The courses are a mix of information slides and a few videos with observation tasks. They can be used as a group training session or individual members of staff can complete the courses. They have been designed to cover a specific subject and last about 30-40 minutes. You can just click and get started.
Can my staff members access the library? +
You can choose a package that covers access for your team. They can login when ever they need meaning they can watch videos and complete course when they need at a time that suits them. Team members can be added and removed when needed during the term of your subscription.
Can I choose individual account to train my team? +
If you want to use the library content to deliver training sessions in person you can have an individual account. This allows one named person to login and use the site. Login details and passwords must not be shared with anyone else in your setting.
How do the quarterly payments work +
You can choose to pay quarterly. If needed you can turn off auto renewal payments and manually turn your account back on for another quarter when you need to.
