Taking turns

In a classroom setting, we see two boys self manage a conflict situation over taking turns with a toy. The teacher is on hand to support their negotiation.

  • How do the children deal with a problem that arrises? (Look out for non-verbal and body language as well as spoken language)
  • How are the children learning?
  • Which areas of development, engagement and characteristics of learning can you observe?
  • In what ways does the adult support the children’s learning?
